Recipes of Margaret Biscuits















Ingredients you need:

50g low-gluten flour

50g cornstarch

50g butter (Softened)

0.5g salts

30g sugar

Directions:

1.Cream the butter and sugar together.

2. Add in the eggs and stirring. Stir in vanilla (if you like vanilla).

3. Mix salt into flour. Add flour alternately into batter.

4. Divide dough and form into flat disks.

5. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill at least 1 hour. Also you can leave chill overnight. This dough freezes beautifully.

6. Roll dough out about ¼ inch thick and divide into shapes.

7. Bake at 350 degrees for 11 minutes until the edges are slightly golden.

8. Remove to wire racks to cool.

The Margaret biscuits recipes and other biscuit recipes vary different, which add half of the cornstarch, so there will have some nice gap. The beautiful gap is the symbol of the real Margaret biscuits. Because of the addition of starch, makes it more crisp taste and mouth.
